The hit Fox reality TV show American Idol kicks off its 5th season in 2006. The cast you've come to know and love including Ryan Seacrest, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and the judge everyone loves to hate Simon Cowell will all be returning to their respected roles. Seven auditions were held across the US in Las Vegas, San Francisco, Chicago, Austin, Boston, Denver and Greensborough. With more auditions the producers are hopeful to find the next Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studard, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken or even William Hung. Can American Idol keep the fans interest and remain popular in its 5th year, only time will tell as we eventually choose an American Idol Winner.
