At La Mina Tribe Sally Schumann is feeling left out due to the men's alliance. Dan Barry is working on forming an alliance with Ruth Marie Milliman. Dan Barry is a little concerned about Ruth Marie Milliman but is going with the plan. Shane Powers, Bruce Kanegai, and Aras Baskauskas went hunting and found snails to eat, this causing some strife at camp because they feel the work isn't being divided up evenly. Cirie Fields is sensing the drama and tension and looking for ways to use it to her advantage.

The reward challenge consists of diving down and releasing floating puzzle pieces and completing the puzzle. The reward is soap towels, sponges and toilet paper, the losing tribe sends someone to Exile island. Casaya Tribe wins reward despite La Mina's lead. Casaya Tribe sends Terry Deitz to Exile Island.

With Terry Deitz missing La Mina Tribe is in a bit of a fog and without a leader. Casaya Tribe decides to store towels and wood instead of using the bathroom as a bathroom. Bobby Mason decides to break rank and use it as intended which causes some problems. Terry Deitz is looking for the idol and going back over the old clues. Terry Deitz finds the immunity idol buried under a rock by a 'Y' shaped tree.

Shane is stirring up trouble about Danielle DiLorenzo not working, and causing a lot of friction at camp. La Mina Tribe is starting to feel the pains of hunger due to loss of food and not being able to start a fire. Sally Schumann is worried she is next on the block. The immunity challenge consists of carrying water to fill a bucket and raise one tribe member up to release a flag. Casaya Tribe just managed to win by a few seconds. La Mina Tribe will be visiting Tribal Council.

Sally makes an appeal to Terry Deitz to stay knowing he is power figure in the tribe. Terry Deitz doesn't lie about finding the idol, but doesn't volunteer. Austin Carty is able to convince Terry Deitz that Sally Schumann should be the one to stay. However the girls know it's all about they guys vote. The guys are wavering on which way to vote. Terry Deitz describes how bad Exile Island. Sally Schumann says she noticed Terry Deitz didn't give anything away. Austin Carty is glad to have Terry Deitz back as the leader of the tribe. Ruth Marie Milliman gets 4 votes and is voted off.
